Course Information

Introduction

Leadership judgement is the ability to make balanced, ethical, and strategically sound decisions in situations where information is incomplete, priorities compete, and consequences are significant. Effective executive judgement combines experience, evidence, critical thinking, and organisational values to achieve outcomes that support long-term success.

This five-day course develops practical leadership judgement for senior decision-makers. Participants will learn how to evaluate complex situations, balance strategic and operational priorities, exercise ethical judgement, challenge assumptions, and communicate well-reasoned decisions through realistic executive case studies and leadership simulations.

1. Apply sound leadership judgement to complex business situations by balancing evidence, experience, ethics, and organisational priorities.
2. Evaluate competing options objectively while recognising assumptions, uncertainty, and potential bias.
3. Make timely executive decisions that align with organisational strategy, values, and long-term objectives.
4. Communicate the rationale, risks, and expected outcomes of leadership decisions to stakeholders with clarity and confidence.
5. Review decision outcomes, reflect on leadership effectiveness, and strengthen personal judgement through continuous learning.

- Participants are expected to engage in guided self-study, reading, or personal reflection on the day’s content. This contributes toward the CPD accreditation and deepens conceptual understanding.

Please Note:
- All training sessions are conducted from Monday to Friday, following the standard working week observed in the United Kingdom and European Union. Saturday and Sunday are official weekends and are not counted as part of the course duration.
- Coffee and refreshments are available on a floating basis throughout the morning. Participants may help themselves at their convenience to ensure an uninterrupted learning experience Provided if applicable and subject to course delivery arrangements.
